about

Robert Montargil da Silva is a young Angolan musician that you really need to know about. Since his debut in the music scene in 2002 with the album Underground Consciente, in which Robert has delighted the media and hip hop fans with great talent and knowledge, album after album, sharing his strongest passions and convictions always in a raw, pure and direct form. Fast Forward and here we are: Ordem depois do Caos (Order After The Chaos). For the more distracted, or those not familiar with Portuguese Rap, we are talking about Bob Da Rage Sense. With several successfully acclaimed works in the Angolan and Portuguese hip hop scene, his maturity and musicality tend to grow every time. Starting with the first impression, we are faced with a visual work that grabs immediate attention. Portuguese artist Maria Imaginário, created an handcrafted digipack cover, very alike Bob, that expresses in a very simple but effective way the message needed to be acrossed with class and beauty. Musically, Ordem, is no exception. Starting with the main single, which features Maura Magarinhos, the activist vein of Bob is shown in some kind of an outcry and alert for freedom and change. To Bob, there's no stoping this social chaos if theres no action, it is essential and necessary to act, and to act now. But this album is also much more than just social criticism, politics and revolution. It also breathes evolution. Its Rock, Soul, Gospel and Jazz, influences are evident and dealt with a pleasantly natural and meticulous execution. No doubt that this is an album that promises to capture and expand beyond borders. Bob Da Rage Sense knows it's time to take his message to other countries.
With a top notch production and some of the best musicians known in Portugal, this album is undoubtedly raising the bar once again and there is no denying that Bob Da Rage Sense is a name to pay attention in 2014.
